Who We Are
Alyssa Planeta
Founder & Managing Director
Alyssa is passionate about connecting people and opportunities. After several years of serving undergraduate and graduate MIT and Harvard students through career counseling, the leap to talent acquisition was a natural next step. From hiring for large companies like McKinsey to building out start-ups preparing for an IPO, Alyssa has helped identify and place top strategy and data talent into a variety of exciting and impactful roles. She founded AP Talent Partners because matching a person with the perfect role is extremely energizing and rewarding work.
Alyssa majored in English at Colby College and earned her Master’s in Education from Harvard University. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the Maine coast with her husband and two daughters.
Nick Planeta
Head of Operations
Nick is responsible for overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations. Prior to co-founding AP Talent Partners with his wife, Alyssa, he was a Digital Transformation and Corporate Strategy leader for Fortune 500 companies. Having built out multiple teams over the past decade, Nick has a deep appreciation of the importance of “getting the right people on the bus” and how challenging that can be in a competitive talent environment.
Nick attended Colby College, where he majored in Math, and earned his MBA from Babson College. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling internationally, and rooting for his hometown Boston Celtics!
